Dr Ambedkar International Mission Australia is a Not-For-Profit, charitable and social community group created by the Indian Ambedkarite Buddhist ex-pats living in Australia.
Its vision is to strive to secure the human rights and dignity of 250 million Dalits, untouchables and tribals of India. It wishes to achieve the above through the educational, social, economic and cultural development of these downtrodden people of India.AIM draws its strength from the philosophy and work of the tallest human rights champion of India, Dr B.R. Ambedkar. AIM is a group of NRIs in various countries and resident Indians who believe in the thoughts, philosophy and movement of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar for the establishment of an egalitarian society in India, based upon equality, fraternity, liberty and justice. AIM operates in various countries around the world through the Chapters/Units of AIM in the respective countries. Currently, it operates in the US, Canada, UK, Japan, France, Germany, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Brunei, Malaysia, Australia and others.
We are the people who are residing in Australia, and are at constant resolve to “Pay Back to Society” The basic idea behind this mission’s functioning is to prepare Ambedkarite NRIs here, to “PAY BACK TO THE SOCIETY”. The members are of the opinion that all the educated Dalits including NRIs are a product of Dr Ambedkar’s lifelong crusade. The logical end of Dr Ambedkar’s mission was to restore human rights to every suffering Dalit and downtrodden in India.
“Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean,
man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives.
Man’s life is independent.
He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self too.”― DR Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar
My final words of advice to you are to educate, agitate and organize; have faith in yourself. With justice on our side, I do not see how we can lose our battle. The battle to me is a matter of joy. The battle is in the fullest sense spiritual. There is nothing material or social in it. For ours is a battle not for wealth or for power. It is a battle for freedom. It is the battle of reclamation of human personality.
